High on Life is a choice that will be hit or miss. Right now, the game is 25% off, but if you buy it in a bundle with Various Daylife, the total savings becomes 53% - making it cost a little less to buy both than to just buy OT2! Square Enix really impressed me with this one. It is an excellent turn-based strategy JRPG that focuses on the main stories and building up your party as you progress. Having enjoyed the first Octopath Traveler quite a bit but felt it definitely lacked a few things, I think Octopath Traveler II fills those gaps and takes the series up a notch. It also looks great on the Steam Deck and plays nice and smoothly too. It’s a highly rated series and well loved for a good reason. The storytelling, characters, and action adventure as you explore hidden treasures with Nathan Drake and crew are well worth experiencing. Originally launched on PC last year, this collection delivers Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, and if you haven’t played them yet, then now is a good chance to get a nice 40% discount. Some of the Best Steam Deck Games to Buy During the Steam Summer Sale 2023 Dave the Diverĭave the Diver is a fantastic new pixel graphics comfy game featuring a mixture of deep-sea adventure RPG and management simulation when you run your restaurant at nighttime. In this list we’ll be looking at 10 of the best games in the Steam Summer Sale 2023 that look great, play well, and overall are just excellent on Steam Deck. It’s not always clear what building you want in the right context when you’re still unpacking the construction tree, only to get raided over and over just because you’ve explored more of the map ahead. With the Steam Deck becoming more readily available and more popular than ever thanks to a hefty discount on each model during the Steam Summer Sale, there are likely many of you out there wondering what games you should pick up for your Steam Deck while the Summer Sale is raging. I also wish the game would take a bit longer to ratchet up its intensity. But it’s all done for the good, to make you stronger and smarter the next time you fire it up. Sometimes, especially on your first few runs, the difficulty can seem unfair. Some buildings’ purpose seems obscure until you mash your head against it and build it. Some mistakes can leave you in a boring loop of waiting a minute or two for you to accomplish something specific like just creating a new die, or eating food over and over. I caution any newcomer to embrace each loss as the more you know for the next run the better you will be and further you’ll be able to get before a new wrinkle emerges to bring your well constructed house of cards crashing down. I didn’t understand how harsh winter was until I had an entire hand of dice frozen and my citizens were pissed. And that stress of learning and trying to wean a bit more value to progress becomes the loop. This is where the rogue-like nature comes in. While since I last covered it they’ve added very helpful (and much needed) tutorials, there are concepts you will only really grasp by doing and failing. To say Dice Legacy is tough is a bit of an understatement. You can also ascend your stronger dice to be used later in future runs, giving you an advantage down the road. If you turn other dice into citizens, they’ll now be able to teach but will not be able to assist in fighting. Should you turn some of your dice into soldiers for base defense, they will no longer be able to farm. It doesn’t take Dice Legacy long to set you on its pace.
